Harvest Moon Acres Summer Camp

Horse Camp 2012

Novice Riders Camp ($225) will be held June 11-15, 2012 9am-3pm.
This camp is for those riders ages 10-13 who have some experience
(walk/trot) and are comfortable around horses. Riders will learn about
feeding, advanced care, horsemanship and first aid. We will view
videos of different riding disciplines and take part in a field trip to a
local veterinary hospital!

Our "Ready, Set, SHOW" Camp ($250) will be held June 25-29, 2012
9am-4pm for 4H members and other youth wanting to learn about horse
show preparation! Whether you show at your local fair or open shows,
this camp will get you ready for show season. This program will include
private and group lessons in rail work, reining,
equitation/horsemanship patterns and showmanship. We will be
learning how to band and braid manes and other grooming secrets to
help make your equine friend beautiful for the show ring.

Green Riders Camp($200) for those riders with little to no riding
experience (ages 6-12) will be held July 9-13, 2012 9am-2pm
This camp is geared towards beginner level riders ages 6-12. Campers
will learn about basic horsemanship such as safety, horse breeds,
care, and walk/trot. Each child will be assigned a horse to care for and
ride for the week! We will also have games and crafts geared towards
horses.

Family and friends are invited to our Pizza and Awards Party at the end
of the week!
